Thank you for choosing LocalClarity for your local SEO needs. This introductory guide will walk you through the basics of setting up and customizing your LocalClarity Workspace and Profile to ensure your brand optimized its local search presence effectively.

If you're new to LocalClarity, we strongly encourage you to explore the LocalClarity Knowledge Base, where you'll find dozens of platform and industry article. We are adding or updating content every week to equip you with the fundamental knowledge needed to navigate and utilize LocalClarity to its fullest potential.

User Accounts

Let’s dive into the very first step in customizing your LocalClarity instance, registering as a user.

Initial Sign Up

The first step is to simply provide your first and last name, business email account and a moderately strong password.

Workspaces

The LocalClarity platform is used by businesses of every size in over 100 countries, from single location shops to some of the largest retail chains. This flexibility is supported by our unique structure where a “Workspace” serves as the home for any number of distinct business entities (Profiles) that hold any number of business locations, each with numerous connected listings.

Creating a workspace is a simple process. We need only a unique name and some insights into your goals for working with LocalClarity.

Profiles

Immediately after creating a Workspace, you will be invited to the Profile creation flow. This updated process lets you customize the structure, set the initial functionality, and invite the team. Don’t worry skipping anything of the settings, you will always be able to update your preferences directly within the new Profile.

Core Details

Each profile can be customized to match your unique needs. Start with a name, icon, the primary business industry served from this profile and an estimate of the total number of locations you expect to manage.

Set Language, Date & Time Preferences

Here’s where you get to set your geographic preferences. Select from 14 available languages (more coming soon) and then you date and time formats. Next, you get to chose to time stamp applied to each review, either Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) or timestamp based on the time zone of the reviewed location.

Initial Reporting

Although you’ll have lots of flexibility for custom reports once the Profile is created, in this step you can turn on four of the most common email reports.

Generative AI

Now, we’re getting into the good stuff. All Professional, Agency, and Enterprise plans come with a host of generative AI capabilities embedded directly into the platform. Select the ones that make sense for your needs.

Team Invitations

It’s time to share the power. Invite some additional users with their email and one of the default roles. Of course, you will have the option to create custom roles and invite any number of users for all funded plans. Include a short message to let the team know what to expect.

Confirmation

Here’s you chance to review all the details. If you need to make edits before proceeded, please navigation back to the relevant step. Don’t worry if you change your mind, all of these settings can be updated in the platform.

Integrations

Congratulations! You now have a completed structure to hold each of your intended source integrations. We highly recommendation that you start with the platform typically most important to your digital business presence, Google.

Google Business Profile

Most widely used due to Google's dominance in the global search engine market. Integrates deeply with Google Search and Google Maps, facilitating a high level of visibility and customer interaction for your brand.

Apple Business Connect

Targets users of Apple devices, which can be a significant market in regions with high Apple product penetration. Provides businesses with tools to customize how their information is presented in Apple Maps.

Bing Places for Business

Integrates with other Microsoft products and services, offering benefits for businesses embedded in the Microsoft ecosystem.

Facebook Local

Strong social component, as it integrates with the broader Facebook ecosystem, potentially increasing engagement through social shares and likes. Also, great for promoting events and offers directly to a community-based audience.

Settings

This is where you can control the presentation and experiences of the users in the Profile. We invite every Admin to explore each section and then reach out to Client Success with any questions.
